Cooling Tower Cleaning
|
Qualified Cleaning With current legislation encompassed by ACoP (L8), the Health and Safety Executive "Approved Code of Practice" with regard to Legionella prevention, expert attention to Wet Cooling Systems is now a must. Current regulation express the need to clean wet cooling systems on a 6 monthly basis to maintain a system free from organic contamination that may feed the growth of Legionella bacteria. Prowater can provide the essential expertise and labour to carry out on all forms of chemical cleaning of cooling towers. All our staff are health and safety trained and perform a site specific risk assessment prior to beginning work. Attention will be paid to the protection of site and Prowater personnel with a prior disinfection of the cooling tower and any cleaning methods employed will be chosen to create the minimimum of aerosol risk. A full physical clean of the internal and external surfaces of the tower will be performed and all debris and water will be removed from the tower prior to refilling with fresh water. The cooling tower system will then be disinfected and re-instated with appropriate water treatment chemicals. We can carry out deep cleaning of cooling towers with foaming cleaner to help clean pack where it may be impracticle or impossible to remove the pack from the cooling tower for cleaning. Acid cleaning is available where there is a high build up of scale in a tower or where there is a reduced efficiency of heat exchangers etc. |
